This 171,000-square-foot store in Utah is exceptionally large and is where you can find the most random and fantastic treasures. In fact, be careful when you walk inside because you may find you want to spend all day browsing its aisles.

Smith and Edwards has two locations in Utah — West Jordan and Ogden. The Ogden location opened its doors more than 70 years ago and at 171,000 square feet, it is certainly no small brick-and-mortar store.
This store actually began in the backyard of Bert Smith’s West Ogden home in 1947.
The store began as a surplus business for Smith and his Marine Corp shipmate, Lawrence Edwards. In a few short years, a business boomed and a backyard was no longer sufficient. In the 1950s, Smith and Edwards purchased 60 acres in Farr West and this is where you can still find this unique store today.
As you walk into this large store in Utah, your eyes will be in for a treat. In this 171,000-square-foot building, you will find all types of items down the long aisles.
In fact, the aisles are filled with all types of merchandise and seem to go on and on.
You will find everything at Smith and Edwards from clothing for every member of the family …
… to hunting, fishing, and camping equipment.
You can even shop for all types of food and candy to satisfy your taste buds.
Don’t pass by the emergency preparedness section. Here, you’ll find all of your must-have food storage and canning supplies.
And don’t overlook those random items you didn’t know you needed, but you definitely do.
In the spring and summer months, make sure you stop by the garden area to find flowers, trees, fertilization, and anything (and everything!) else to beautify your yard.
Not only can you find the most incredible items in Smith and Edwards in Utah, but this store hosts a variety of events all year long. You’ll find activities like dummy roping contests, concealed carry classes, and holiday celebrations.
This is one store where you better visit with a comfy pair of shoes on your feet and have lots of time to wander.
