“Cruzzing” on the lake: Tahoe business offers luxury hot tub boats

Spacruzzi’s design team will work with clients to select finish materials, colors and support accessories.

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. Founded in 2021 in Incline Village by serial digital and consumer products entrepreneur Alex Kanwetz, Spacruzzi epitomizes the American-made luxury experience at its best.

While hot boating isn’t a new concept, Kanwetz and his team set out to create a one-of-a-kind “real” hot tub, in which the Spacruzzi design team would collaborate with clients to select finish materials, colors, and supporting accessories.

Once the design and contract are completed, the boat enters the production phase where each boat is built to exact customer specifications. The boat’s construction and delivery time can take anywhere from 45 to 90 days, depending on finish levels and custom features.

“In addition to a wide range of color options, the consumer can choose teak decking colors, metallic accents, copper clad propane fireplace, custom stained tillers, custom teak folding ladders, shade covers, underwater lighting, electric motors, and float brew The specially designed caddy with a metal champagne bucket,” adds Kanwitz.

He said the top priorities when starting Spacruzzi were to offer a product that’s incredibly safe and simple to enjoy while keeping manufacturing in the US and as local as possible.

When asked how boats are safe for the environment, Kanwetz replied, “Spacruzzi is an eco-friendly product. All electric propulsion systems and electric or propane heating options do not put pollutants into the air or water unlike most power boats on the lake. The Spacruzzi is designed to comply with all US Coast Guard regulations including the safety on the water (tip-proof, unsinkable) and onboard heating systems. “

These boats are not only incredibly safe, but also easy to use. You don’t have to be an experienced boat operator to navigate the lake. The Spacruzzi is easily steered with a tiller and tracks well with a top speed of less than 5 mph. Not only is it easy to operate, the Spacruzzi can be moored anywhere a typical boat can be moored.

Water access options include trailering, forklift, gantry, slide or jetty. The boat is a dry lightweight 1,200-pound boat that is less than 12.75 feet long and very easy to manage,” explains Kanowitz.

Although a new company, Spacruzzi is already attracting the attention of clients that include boat rental companies, water sports and individuals who live on or near a lake or stream.

When asked about the future of Spacruzzi, Kanwetz said: “Since our launch, we’ve seen immediate growth in both rental and direct-to-consumer sales and conversion funnels and this continues to grow. As you start to see more rentals, we expect awareness of the product to grow nationally as it sees more People say this is not just a new element, but an unparalleled experience on the water. We continue to secure the intellectual property to develop the special features of the boat and always look to make the experience as safe and enjoyable as possible for boat owners and charter partners.”
