Greata Ranch and land could be yours for $51 million

Some picturesque parcels of land that capture the essence of the Okanagan are on the market.

Anyone traveling down Highway 97 can appreciate Greata Ranch’s panoramic view of Okanagan Lake, framed by a rolling hillside that’s both natural and braided with vineyards.

Greata Ranch and multiple parcels south of the Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards are for sale, equaling 74 acres with 1,400 feet of shoreline, according to the listing. Current zoning allows for two marinas and a mix of single family and multi-family units.

Stephen Webber is the agent selling the property on behalf of Colliers Canada. He said the asking price is $51 million but he’s curious to see what bidders think it’s worth.

‘You are right in the middle of what everyone pictures the Okanagan to be,’ he said.


The Greata Ranch and the other acres of land don’t necessarily have to be purchased together, Webber said, but each one has different strengths to bring to the table.

“The consensus is it would be better to have the two be done by one overall masterplan.”

Webber said the demand for communities that appeal to people who can afford boats is higher than the supply, and they could be ideal vacation homes for people from Vancouver and Calgary.

“These people have that kind of money, they will pay to play.”
