Ohio Claybusters meeting
The Ohio Claybusters are about to begin its 2022 youth trapshooting season. An informational meeting for parents and athletes will be held at 9:30 am Saturday at the Silver Dollar/Coon Hunters Gun Club, 5040 Secrest Road, Wooster.

Comment on hunting, fishing proposals
Ohioans interested in submitting comments about the 2022-23 hunting and fishing regulations can do so at wildohio.gov. Comments are accepted through Wednesday, March 16. A complete list of proposals and space to comment online is available at wildohio.gov.
Additionally, in-person comments may be submitted at any Division of Wildlife district office until Wednesday, March 16. All Division of Wildlife district offices are open 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.
Time to renew your licenses?
Ohio’s resident fishing licenses are $25 and valid for one year from the date of purchase. They can be purchased up to 30 days prior to the expiration date.
Ohio’s annual resident hunting licenses for the 2022-23 seasons are $19 for adults ($10 for youth) and are available now. Hunting licenses are valid immediately after purchase through Feb. 28.
Still shoots at Apple Creek Legion
Apple Creek American Legion Post 147 will still hold shoots on Sundays, April 10 and 24 and May 8 and 22. Breakfast begins at 10 am, registration at 10:30 am and shooting at noon. Post 147 is located at 8493 Hackett Road, Apple Creek.
Spring trap league at East Holmes
The East Holmes Sportsman’s Association is looking for teams for its spring trap league starting March 23. The league will be limited to 12 teams. Contact the club to reserve a spot.
It is a 50-bird program for 10 weeks. Anyone who is interested, or knows of someone who might be, call 330-204-3684 or 330-231-9158.

Spring still shoots at Shreve Farmers Sportsman Club
Spring still shoots will be held every Sunday through April 24, with the exception of Easter, at the Shreve Farmers Sportsman Club. Shoots start at noon with sign-ups beginning around 11:30 am The progressive jackpot is over $3,800. The club shoots shot, slug and .22.

Donate to conservation
Ohioans can contribute to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ conservation efforts by donating a portion of their state income tax refund to support Ohio’s wildlife and state nature preserves.
Making a donation on this year’s tax return to the Wildlife Diversity Fund or State Nature Preserves and Scenic Rivers helps to secure the future for Ohio’s wildlife and wild places, including improvements to native habitats and landscapes and support for endangered plant and wildlife species.
Individuals may donate by entering a dollar amount for “State Nature Preserves and Scenic Rivers” on line 26a or “Wildlife Species” on line 26d of the 2021 IT 1040 tax form. Contributions made on the 2021 tax return and filed in 2022 are considered deductible donations made in 2022.
