With its various ranges of rentals, fully stocked mobile homes and ‘motel’ tents, but also with its own bare pitches for campers in tents, caravans and caravans, Nature & Résidence offers its clients the opportunity to spend camp-site rest, whether they are a retired couple or a family with four children.

Pyrénées-Atlantiques Camping (Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, Pyrénées-Atlantiques): Between the ocean, lake and mountains in the Basque Country

Here we are in the Basque Country, a region of generous nature, an alliance between the Pyrenees and the ocean, with a very rich heritage: a built heritage, a cultural heritage, a gastronomic heritage.

This 3-star Ibaron camping site is the perfect base camp for taking full advantage of all that the Pyrenees Atlantic has to offer. The camp is located in Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, on the side of the Provincial Road that connects the many faces of the Basque Country. To the west, the Grande Plage of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, which is directly accessible, is only ten kilometers away. To the east, the road passes through these evergreen hills and small mountains, in the hollow of which hide villages with the enchanting names, Esplet, Etxeux, then Saint-Jean-Bide-de-Port.

On a 3.2 hectares wooded area bordered by Nivelle, the Ibarron camping site offers 142 landscaped plots. You can rent an electric playground or a mobile home for four to five people. Those looking for comfort while still retaining the ‘camping spirit’, lightness of equipment and connection to nature, will choose one of the ‘hostel’ tents featured here. Each is perched on a wooden platform, hiding under a large canvas, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a covered porch. Finally, like all Nature & Résidence Loisirs, the Ibarron camp site offers mobile homes for sale, and a real second home accessible, if desired, ten months out of twelve!

Staying at the Ebarron campground and in the Basque Country means choosing an active vacation. At the campsite, there is a water area with a heated pool, paddling pool, playground, bowling alley, and tennis room. Campsite Le Vieux Moulin (Vensac, Gironde): between the river and the ocean

Médoc is the farthest west of France: vast expanses of agricultural plains, swamps and forests, a mild year-round climate and the most generous sunshine. To crown it all, the land is planted between two waters, the fresh waters of the Gironde Estuary and the salty and tumultuous waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Vieux Moulin camp is in the middle: on the estuary, the little port of Goulée, with its reed-lined canals, and fishermen’s huts and restaurants about ten kilometers to the east. On the sea, Vensac Beach is about the same distance and it is quite possible to go there regularly by bike, taking a road that mixes bike paths and shared roads. And about two kilometers before the beach, we pass the Vélodyssée, this bike path that runs along the entire Atlantic coast: enough to consider a car-free vacation.

On 7 hectares of wooded land, the camp site offers 220 playgrounds, divided between plots for camping, rental mobile homes (up to eight people) and sale of mobile homes on this year’s rental plots. A useful formula, especially since the camp site Vieux Moulin is open ten months a year. On site, the camp offers a swimming pool and several sports fields for volleyball and badminton. In terms of services, the campground has a bar and restaurant in season. Of course, the village and the surrounding area offer a wide range of services and entertainment, from the Vensac mill, 300 meters from the campsite (you can buy the flour you produce there), to the Route des Châteaux du Médoc, in the south, the possibilities are many!

From the sky, it’s impressive: the camp site stretches for nearly 600 meters along the wild sand dunes of the beach, of the same name, located south of Brétignolles-sur-Mer. Here we are in the wild Vendée: of course, the seaside resort, with its shops, services and entertainment, is very close, but above all the environment gives nature a place of pride, with its long sandy beaches and coastal forests. By choosing the five-star camp site Les Dunes, you can also choose the beach where the sand and surf can be accessed directly from the campsite by a footpath just over 200 meters long.

The camp site is open from April to November, and rents out a wide range of fully equipped mobile homes, with two to three bedrooms, that can sleep up to eight people! In Les Dunes, you can also rent a playground for a tent, caravan or caravan.

If the sea is only 200 meters away, then there is the swimming pool. And what a pool: With its indoor and outdoor pools, its opposite river, water play area and its large slide, the large heated water park is another treasure for Les Dunes campground. We frolic there, play sports and relax there, between idle in the Balneo area and a watersports session in the indoor pool. The camp site also offers a great program of activities, during vacations and long weekends in the spring as well as in the summer. In the program: a club for children from 4 to 12 years old, sports activities, tournaments and evening entertainment for the whole family.
