Philadelphia Zoo partners with Dimplez 4 Dayz to provide the Summer Youth Program

School is out and summer is in full swing for youth in the Philadelphia area. Summer vacation brings a variety of activities for kids, and this season, local non-profit organization Dimplez 4 Dayz organizes a few weeks at a Philadelphia youth store.


For the first time ever, the Philadelphia Zoo has partnered with Dimplez in Dayz from July 12 to August 23 to offer a summer program for the city’s youth.

“This collaboration means a lot to young people residing in Mantova. They often ride, bike or walk without entering or knowing the value of the zoo in their backyards,” says Angela Richardson, CEO of Dimplez 4 Days. to programs, employment, and education, adding value and purpose that will last a lifetime.”

The Philadelphia Zoo is the largest classroom in the area and a gateway to the wild.


On July 12, guys from Dimplez 4 Dayz began participating in the 6-week summer youth program at the Philadelphia Zoo.

The zoo gave 20 young people from the Dimplez 4 Dayz Resource Center the opportunity to experience this classroom like never before.

Students ages 11-18 will have the opportunity to network with animal health staff, meet zoo rangers, learn about animal nutrition, and see behind the scenes how the zoo operates.

They will learn everything from job opportunities to conservation education through hands-on, immersive activities and workshop-style sessions.

Dimplez 4 Dayz hosted brunch on July 12 for a partnership at the Dimplez Dreamz Resource Center. After brunch, the students made their way to the zoo, which is a 15-minute walk away.

Older youth in nonprofit organizations are given leadership opportunities by serving as mentors for younger children and liaison between organizations, ensuring a safe environment for children.
