Shrine Game, Belt Rodeo, Voyagers-Mustangs highlight area weekend sports

This is my 39th Father’s Day Weekend, and being the sports aficionado that I am, I thought I’d go down the list of local sporting events happening nearby.

Please keep in mind these sporting events do not involve a rod, reel, lures, flies, worms, or putters. I’m sure you can find those locations on your own, without my help.

(Of course, this reminds me to go get my fishing license before I hang it up.)

The biggest events happening in the area involve football and a lot of rough stock.

The 61st Belt Rodeo is so big now, it’s been spread over two days – Saturday’s first performance is at 6 pm, with the finale Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Belt Rodeo Grounds. Those of you who have been there in previous years (yes, my hand is already up) know that finding a parking spot is a sporting event in itself, especially if you have a wheeled vehicle. So, the earlier you get there, the better.
