The 32nd edition of Carreras de las Estrellas, the Breeders’ Cup of Argentina, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, at Buenos Aires racetrack, Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

There are six Grade 1 races on the 15-race program with the simulcast available for live-stream on the Sky Racing World App, and major ADW platforms. The first post on the 15-race card is 12:30 pm ET / 9:30am PT.

The feature event on the card, the Gran Premio Estrellas Classic over 1 ¼ miles, includes recent Gran Premio Republica Argentina winner Nievre, who is looking for back-to-back victories. Another brilliant ride from jockey Estaban Torres (watch replay) will be required to take out the classic.

The Carreras de las Estrellas was organized in Argentina for the first time in 1991 and soon became one of the most popular horse racing journeys in the country. This international contest shows the important position of Argentina holds within the industry, as well as the rising path the country is going through.

A great attraction to the competitors, the Fundación Equina Argentina (FEAR) and Palermo Racetrack will jointly offer a journey with seven important Classic races where fans may enjoy the best of the Thoroughbred breed:

Gran Premio Estrellas Classic (G1) – “Escribano Hernán Ceriani Cernadas” Award – Sponsored by Biogénesis Bagó – 1 ¼-mile race for all 3-year-olds and older horses.

Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile (G1) – “Sr. Raúl FM Lottero” Award – Sponsored by Jockey Club Río IV (Córdoba) – one-mile race for foals born since July 1, 2019.

Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (G1) – “Dr. Pedro C. Blaquier” Award – one-mile race for fillies born since July 1, 2019.

Gran Premio Estrellas Distaff (G1) – “Sr. Alejandro J. Menditeguy” Award – Sponsored by the Presidente Sr. Aldo Elias Hotel – 1 ¼-mile race for 3-year-olds and older fillies and mares.

Gran Premio Estrellas Mile (G1) – Sponsored by Revista Palermo – one-mile race for all 3-year-olds and older horses.

Gran Premio Estrellas Sprint (G1) – “Sr. Luis Villamil” Award – Sponsored by Cielo y Tierra Winery – five-furlong race for all 3-year-old and older horses.

Estrellas Junior Sprint Classic (G3) – Sponsored by La Punta Racetrack (San Luis) – five-furlong race for horse born since July 1, 2019.

The commingling of pools is now available on all Argentinian horse racing from the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo for the American, Canadian, Caribbean and other International markets. PGI (owned by Tabcorp) is the exclusive International Commingling hub for connecting into Palermo pools providing significant wagering liquidity for this great event.
